- The police try to stop Suboshi, but he overpowers them and sends a spirit ball after
Tamahome
- Tamahome runs off and Miaka tries to stop Suboshi -- Tamahome returns, running at
Suboshi
- Tamahome jumps over Suboshi, who is held back by the spirits of Tamahome's siblings,
and is killed by his own spirit ball
- Back in Sairou, Kaika/Amiboshi feels like he's lost someone close and starts crying. His
parents say it's because people are dying in the war, and he plays a tune for them
- Nakago and Hotohori have a showdown, and Nakago explains his plan to take over the
world
- Hotohori won't let Nakago destroy Miaka and Tamahome's love, so he charges Nakago
- Hotohori is repelled by Nakago's power, but his sword still manages to wound Nakago a
bit
- Meanwhile, Miaka can't go back to the other world, but Tamahome may have to
- Keisuke shows Miaka "The Universe of the Four Gods" and tells her that Mitsukake is
dead, and Hotohori will soon follow
- Hotohori talks to Miaka through the book, and says sorry for not defeating Nakago, and
that he was happy to have met her
- After a Hotohori music clip, he dies
- Later, Keisuke talks to Tamahome and asks him to leave Miaka and return into the book
alone
