Episode 43 - Ketsubetsu no Raidou

A bald guy asks Tetsuya and Keisuke if they're the ones who brought "The Universe of the Four Gods"
Yui says she finally understands Miaka's feelings, and frees Tatara
Tatara says that ninety years ago, his body's aging was stopped to guard the other Shinzaho; he is only sick because he is outside the Byakko Shrine
Yui says she'll go get the other Shinzaho from Nakago, and Tatara produces the second Shinzaho
Suzuno Ohsugi was Byakko no Miko and Tatara's lover
Turns out Yui is only being nice because it is part of a Nakago scheme
Yui sees Tamahome and tells him about Tatara and Suzuno, and that it will also be impossible for him to be with Miaka; Tamahome replies that he will follow Miaka to the other world
The bald guy is Suzuno's (adopted?) grandson; he tells Keisuke and Tetsuya that Suzuno is dying
With the old "Sorry I spilled water on you, let me hold that while you dry off" trick, Yui gets the second Shinzaho
Tatara tries to get it back, but Miboshi arrives
Tatara's in Miboshi's grasp, while Nakago and Yui go to the roof to call Seiryuu
The other seishi arrive to help Tatara out, Miboshi is killed
A dying Tatara explains that he didn't regret his relationship with Suzuno, knowing she would go on and marry and have kids, but that someday they would be reunited
Tatara and Suzuno die; Tatara's spirit arrives in the real world and is reunited with Suzuno -- Keisuke is moved to tears; now they're truly happy
Miboshi, with his last bit of energy, takes over Chiriko's body
